Charles IV – 700 years
This year we will celebrate the 700th anniversary of the birth of Charles IV, the most important ruler in the History of Bohemia. Charles IV – Roman emperor and king, king of Bohemia, Arles, Lombardy, margrave of Moravia, count of Luxembourg, founder of Charles University, Karlštejn Castle, New Town of Prague or Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary, CZ) was born on May 14 1316 in Old Town of Prague. Throughout 2016 will take place many events and exhibitions commemorating this anniversary.
