Louvre Abu Dhabi is celebrating its first anniversary.

Louvre Abu Dhabi – The unusual building between the sea and desert was projected by famous French architect Jean Nouvel. The museum was opened on the November 11 2017 as the largest museum of fine arts in the Arabian peninsula.
In Louvre Abu Dhabi you can find lots of interesting pieces of art located originally in Louvre in Paris or donated by different philanthropists. The exhibition consists of several thousand years old statues, Egyptian art, Islamic art, Renaissance paintings as well as modern statues making the interior even more interesting.

Leonardo da Vinci – Salvator Mundi (Savior of the World) – the oil-painting by Leonardo da Vinci was bought for the museum for more then 450 millions US Dollars (the most expensive painting ever sold). The unveiling of this picture was postponed.
